About 200 hikers (and more than 50 dogs) turned out for our First Day Hike.

The parking lot was a bit icy but the road up Mt. Prospect was pretty much bare.

WSPA Board member Linda Scherf and her daughter Laura were on hand early to greet the hikers.

The weather wasn't perfectly clear but the views from the East Overlook were pretty.

There wasn't as much snow as in past years but the summit house always looks nice.

The east side of the house is especially attractive and interesting.

We hope to have our tower all repaired this coming season.

On the way down Mt. Prospect it was hard not to think about a hot chocolate drink to cap off the hike.

Thanks so much to Park staff and WSPA members and volunteers for kicking off our first Event of 2024 in such great fashion. And a big thank you to all the folks who came out to enjoy a hike up Mt. Prospect.
